Understanding processing status
Each CV shows a status indicator so you know where it is in the pipeline:
⏳ Pending
File uploaded, waiting for processing to begin.
🔄 Processing
AI is analyzing and extracting information.
✓ Completed
Ready to view and download.
⚠ Failed
Something went wrong. Can be reprocessed.
What happens during processing?
Our AI performs several steps to transform your raw CV into a standardized document:
- Text extraction — All text content is pulled from the file, regardless of format or layout complexity.
- Structure analysis — The AI identifies sections like experience, education, skills, and contact information.
- Information parsing — Key details are extracted: job titles, company names, dates, achievements, technologies used.
- Standardization — Everything is reformatted into a clean, consistent template that's easy to scan.
Tips for best results
- Text-based PDFs work best — Scanned images can be processed but text-based files are more accurate.
- Clear section headings help — CVs with labeled sections (Experience, Education, Skills) process more reliably.
- Keep files under 10MB — Large files with embedded images may take longer or fail.
- Single CV per file — Don't combine multiple CVs into one document.
If a CV fails to process, click the "Reprocess" button to try again. Some files may need 2-3 attempts. If it keeps failing, the file might be corrupted or in an unsupported format.
